Improved Mast Step

I took my original Catalina 22 mast step and had my Dad weld two Stainless Steel loops on it. Actually, he had a friend do it.  The aft loop is for my new boom vang. The forward one is just and auxiliary. Total cost $3.50 for shipping.

New Masthead Sheaves

I installed new masthead sheaves so I can run 3/16-1/4" rope halyards.  I didn't like the noise of the wire rope halyards clanking against my mast.

In the background you can see my teak refinishing job.  Overall I like the results but I think the Armada finish is too expensive. Next time I will use Marine (Spar) varnish.
